Saturday, February 4 - Free Home Energy Fair (South Portland Community Center, 10am-3pm)
AARP will be providing tax preparation assistance in the Lower Level Conference Room at City Hall on Mondays from February 6 through April 10 (except February 20). Call (207) 776-6316 to make an appointment.
City looking forward to welcoming Scott Morelli as the next City Manager
The City Council will plan to formally appoint Mr. Morelli at the February 6, 2017 City Council Meeting. Mr. Morelli's expected official start date is March 13.
FREE HOME ENERGY FAIR ON FEBRUARY 4
A free Home Energy Fair will be held on February 4 at the South Portland Community Center from 10 am – 3 pm. Up to 25 exhibitors will help homeowners learn about options for energy efficiency, energy audits, rebate programs, solar energy, pellet boilers, heat pumps, insulation, green home design, and biofuels. Discounts on installations and energy audits will be provided as door prizes. Kids activities will be available.
New affordable technologies make it easy for home and business owners to reduce energy use, switch to clean sources and save money. Clean energy and efficiency also help South Portland meet its sustainability goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, one of today’s most pressing environmental needs. Portland Water District to hold Special Election June 13, 2017 for Board of Trustee representative for Cape Elizabeth/South Portland
A special election has been called by the Portland Water District's Board of Trustees to fill a seat on the Board made vacant due to the recent passing of Portland Water District Trustee Wayne Ross.
Those interested in running for election will need to take out nomination papers and collect signatures from residents in both Cape Elizabeth and South Portland. Nomination paperwork for interested candidates will be available in South Portland on March 6, 2017 at the City Clerk's office. More information regarding South Portland's nomination paperwork schedule and deadlines will be posted to the City Clerk's website soon.
