A referendum petition has been filed for Ordinance #12-17/18 and Ordinance #13-17/18 regarding Short Term Rental Registration.  On March 15, 2018, the City Clerk's office validated 1,000 signatures on the petition, the minimum required to suspend the ordinances from going into operation.   What happens now?   Click here to read more about the process and stay up to date.

Get to Know Your Trails:
Trout Brook Nature Preserve

South Portland Land Trust board member Kelly Corbin will lead an informative walk along the trail system in the Trout Brook Nature Preserve in South Portland.  This walk will be geared toward the whole family, from infants to grandparents -- well-behaved dogs included!  The walk will be fairly easy.
 
Meet at the trail head on Boothby Avenue (across from the house at 137 Boothby Ave).  Parking is available on the street.

The City of South Portland is seeking citizens who would like to work at the polls on Election Day.  You must be 18+ and a registered voter.  Day shifts are available for these positions, and full paid training is offered before each election.  The hourly rate is $11/hour.  If you would like to learn more about serving as an election worker, please click here and send in your information to the City Clerk.  The Clerk must receive your information before April 1, 2018.
